Who Is Online Marketing Advisor?

Throughout this site, you'll hear the pronouns "I" and "we". My name is Steve Myers. I'm an online marketing consultant and copywriter (I write copy that gets action). "I" do most of the online promotion at Online Marketing Advisor.

I keep my staff small on purpose so we can respond quickly to the limited number of clients we service. I've never found an online marketing company with many employees which could truly respond to its clients needs.

Who's this Steve Myers Person?

I'm a mutt, a "mixed breed" if you'd prefer. I spent my years in junior high and high school with a burning desire to create masterpieces in pencil and oil paint. Then I decided I'd rather eat. :)

I discovered computers early and found programming came easy to me. I got my degree in electronics and went to work for Hewlett Packard, where I began working with the Internet in the early 90's. Then I discovered the Web, where I could tie in my artistic and programming talents.

Several years ago, I was turned to the marketing "dark side" from my technical background. Over the past years, I have devoured every book I could get on getting more Web traffic and converting site visitors into buyers.

In that time, I have worked with many clients, testing the theories I learned from the most successful online marketers out there. Why should you care? Because what I found is that almost all advice out there on how to make money online just doesn't work.

You're not my test bed. The online marketing I do is based on what I have proven through continual testing and refining. It's what works. It's based on measurable results, because you have the right to know what your money is buying you.

You won't hear about branding and image much here, because I only feel comfortable charging for measurable results. Visits to your site, pages viewed, number of sales or leads generated... these and many other success metrics like them I can measure improvement in. On these you can base informed decisions.

On this site, when I say "we", I'm talking about my team. My office manager Kathy is my right hand. Beyond that, I work closely with a team of Web developers, writers, and graphic artists.
